These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of find-a-teacher.com (the "platform"). By registering an account, posting an advertisement, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

What find-a-teacher.com is

find-a-teacher.com is a listings platform where teachers and institutes can register and post advertisements — classes, teaching-job vacancies, or related services such as classroom rental or books — and where visitors can browse those listings. Every advertisement, profile picture, and video is reviewed by an administrator before it becomes publicly visible. We are a listings platform, not a party to any arrangement, transaction, or employment relationship formed between users as a result of using the platform.

Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to register an account.
• The information you provide when registering and posting advertisements must be accurate and kept up to date.
• You're responsible for keeping your account password secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
• You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

Advertisement content and review

Advertisements, profile pictures, and videos you submit are reviewed by an administrator before they're shown publicly. We may reject, request changes to, or remove any content that we determine, at our discretion, violates these Terms, is inaccurate, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate for the platform. Approval of a listing doesn't mean we've verified the qualifications, credentials, or claims it contains — you are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you post.

Your responsibilities

You agree not to use the platform to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent advertisements or contact information.
• Post content you don't have the rights to use, including images or videos you don't own or aren't licensed to use.
• Impersonate another person or organization, or misrepresent your qualifications or affiliation.
• Post unlawful, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
• Send spam or unsolicited commercial messages through the platform's contact or messaging features.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the platform or other users' accounts.

Contacting other users

The platform provides messaging, phone, and WhatsApp contact features so visitors can reach teachers and institutes about their listings. By posting an advertisement with contact details visible, you consent to being contacted by prospective students, parents, or employers through these features. Any arrangement, payment, or agreement you reach with another user — including any class, job, or service — is strictly between you and that user. We aren't responsible for the conduct of any user, the quality or outcome of any class, job, or service arranged through the platform, or any dispute between users.

Video uploads

If you upload a promotional video, you confirm you own the rights to it, or have permission to use and publish it. Videos are reviewed before becoming public and are hosted on the platform's YouTube channel — see our Privacy Policy for details on how video uploads are handled. Your use of this feature is also subject to YouTube's own Terms of Service.

Banner advertising and payments

Banner advertising is purchased and paid for through PayPal, at the pricing and duration shown at the time of purchase. Banner placements are also subject to admin review before going live. Please review the details shown during checkout carefully before completing a purchase.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting content, you grant find-a-teacher.com a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute it on the platform for as long as your listing remains active, solely for the purpose of operating the service. The find-a-teacher.com name, logo, and site design belong to us and may not be used without permission.

Suspension and removal

We may remove any content or suspend or terminate any account, at our discretion, if we believe it violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the platform or its users.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is". We don't guarantee that listings are accurate, that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that using the platform will lead to any particular outcome (such as finding a class, a job, or a student). To the fullest extent permitted by law, find-a-teacher.com isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or your interactions with other users.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use the platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
