Christ King College - Pannipitiya

Christ King College,Pannipitiya, started functioning in October 1930 as a parish school under the management of Rev.Fr. Zachrius Dabrera, O.M.I., a missionary of the Archdiocese of Colombo; during his tenure of office as the Parish Priest of Kotte. The school was established in a region that was considered remote and rural for the sake of the less privileged children, far away from the city of Colombo.His Eminence Dr. Thomas Cardinal Cooray constructed several buildings and expanded facilities as a secondary school. He also obtained the services of the Apostolic Carmel Sisters for the school. --
